About Me

Welcome! I’m j (xe/xem), and I identify as nonbinary trans masc. As a Master Certified Life Coach, I combine professional coaching skills with the perspective of someone who has explored many of the same questions you may be asking. As an elder queer person, I’ve spent most of my life feeling like I was out of place in my body and in relationships with people who weren’t right for me.

I grew up in an ultra-religious, rural, and conservative community and lived as a straight woman because it wasn’t safe to be my genuine self. From the time I was in preschool, I knew that I didn’t fit society’s expectations for being a “girl”.

I came out as a lesbian-dyke at 35, as gender nonconforming in my early 50s, nonbinary trans a few years later, and finally had gender affirming surgery at 58. I’ve lived my life feeling like the ‘other’ and struggled with how to live more fully as myself. My journey has taught me that there are no right answers, and it's never too late to discover yourself and live the life that’s right for you!

My experiences extend beyond exploring my sexual orientation and gender. I’ve navigated grief and loss, chronic illness, changes to my body’s abilities, and other major life transitions. The road hasn't always been easy, but I understand the courage it takes to ask difficult questions and imagine a different future.

This isn’t therapy, and our work together isn’t about fixing something that’s wrong with you, because there isn’t! My desire is to support you to feel more comfortable in your own skin and build relationships that feel honest and fulfilling.

Wherever you are and whoever you know yourself to be, you are in a safe space where you are accepted and no longer have to justify being the valuable being you are!

I look forward to walking with you on this journey!

Wishing you joy and peace!
